Pokemon Legends ZA thoughts (Spoilers)
This game is actually pretty cool. I like the game so far. Im at the part where Emma is giving me sidequests (ik im early in game) and I spent most of my time catching pokemon. Me and an Irl friend played it at the same time and talked and that was a really good experience. Now for the part where I get into more detail
To start off to confirm things, Lida's brother is mentioned and hinted to be Tierno so that's cool. When I played it, my friend found two shinies. They were both binacle and he confirmed that the shiny noise is back. And most importantly of all, MEGA SCOLIPEDE IS REAL!!!!!!
Ik this was a short post, but im on caffeine brain rn so I dont know what else to say except I'll report more on it tomorrow!

I love the level design. Rather than focus on size, they focus on interaction density. I am a sucker for those types of open world games.
this makes me think gen 10 will be an immersive sim or 0451 game. I have high hopes for the future regardless, as this runs smooth as butter on an early model switch 1 handheld mode or not.

the functionality and variability of the game is decreased tremendously from 400 Pokemon base to almost half that. You can’t travel, cameras don’t go far back at all and you’re stuck in one city with no open space so it’s a nightmare for me to navigate it without feeling claustrophobic. I know scarlet and violet had mechanical problems. But I was hoping they would create a game similar to them so I can have more choice to who is in my team and be able to still fly/ride a Pokemon and sit on top of waterfalls and mountains! Visit different cities. Ever since Pokemon was created you visited different towns. IMO it’s lacking and I finished the game in two days. Who wants to do side missions all day 🙄 deff not me. 🤦🏼♀️

Well I find it great!
I like the characters, the plot is interesting, I actually think the city setting is more enjoyable than most open world I've played in general, the game runs smoothly, the graphics are amassing, and it is fun to play.
It is my new favorite Pokémon game and in my top games in general!

I mean, I guess if you like buildings with the same jpeg pasted all over them and being limited to one city that you can’t walk into basically any of the buildings. The buildings aren’t even 3D. Then you’re locked in tutorial mode forever which is irritating. Sure they improved the battle style and is runs smoother but at the cost of making the game look cheap. I finished this game in 40 hours. And you only have 230 in the Pokédex to choose from in comparison to 400. I’m convinced you haven’t been playing Pokémon for a while, I played it since it started with gameboy color game that released in 1998 year 2000 at 8 years old. Even that game was more adventurous and exciting than this one. Disappointment is an understatement.
I returned it and they tried to offer me 12$ credit back to keep the game 😂 clearly I’m not the only one who thinks this. Go watch some more reviews on it from honest critics. There is no way we can be serious in 2025 this is the best Pokémon is getting us on a 500$ habdheld game. I’m a die hard Pokémon fan and I have never returned a Pokémon game. But at this point, I’m gonna stop preordering and waiting for peoples reviews before wasting my money or time like that again.0
