Pokemon legends Za has been finalized and the games are in store. But even though a new era of pokemon is beginning, the old one must end. I would just like to share my story with Paldea.

I remember when I first saw the trailer that announced the games and the starters. I loved gen 8, and adored the starters. I remember that security gaurd finding that room with the tapestry of the starters on the wall. It was something I immediately fell in love with. I loved Sprigatito on the list. After that, it was trailers and leaks that hyped the game for me.

But also that year was also the year Splatoon 3 came out. I got enough money at my job to only buy one game. I figured that Splatoon 3 was coming out sooner and I could get it after school. So that's what I did. And everything worked out. I played through the masterpiece and loved it too. But when it came to SV, I was devastated that I couldn't play the game the day it came out. Its like the squid ward meme where he looks out the window to see SpongeBob and Patrick playing outside.

But when Christmas rolled around, to my surprise I got both games. Scarlet and Violet. But the code to get Scarlet was on a receipt my relative threw away unknowingly and so I played Violet. I picked Sprigatito and that was that. I thought this was the best story pokemon made. And I dont as strongly agree now, but the only pokemon game I've beaten before hand was Shield.

And when the DLC was announced, I got the money I needed and pre-order it. (I didn't get the hisuian Zoroark I wanted, but I got my own from trades and eggs)

I played through the Teal Mask and loved it. Ogrepon was super cool and I wish I got to see her in the anime. And when the Second part of the DLC happened, I felt it was only right completing the game with the one I started with. I used my Meowscarada on my final team and and Defeated Terapagos. And when the credits rolled by with the Toby Fox remix of Celestials, I loved it.

This game was more than that. It was my home. I grew attached to the characters, pokemon (and Kieren) and I knew i was never gonna forget this game. Sure the game was laggy and was glitchy, but I still loved it.

Now we enter a new era. But I will not forget. Sprigatito will always hold a special place in my heart. And we can experience the last of gen 9.
