Opinions and thoughts on the new megas?

With the mega evolutions now live, what is everyone's opinion so far?
I originally thought they were going to be unbalanced due to being able to evolve off of a basic pokemon, however they are not as unbalanced as I would have imagined. It takes a bit for them to set up and even afterwards, they don't break the game flow
unlike a certain charizard coughs
Recently leveled to the mega gardevoir deck and have been finding it fun…granted I am still at the mercy of RNG, it still can set up beautifully

I tend to disagree with the majority of what you just said.
I feel like these decks don't require enough effort to set up and play.
Gardevoir I don't see an issue with, but I've fought two Lucarios and an Abomasnow and I don't think I've ever felt more unbalance ever.
I made a post on it, but thats the short version.
It's just too easy for them, I think.

Huh, maybe it's just my mega venusaur deck then, have had a heck of a time just try to get stuff going
Mega Lucario isn't as bad as I'd think but then again there are setups that can make it a threat real fast, like this new item card which buffs a pokemon's attack by 20 and it can stack for every copy you play in a turn
Maybe I just have had a set of more balanced matches? I still say they're no where near game breaking like Dark Terra Charizard, but again…maybe it's just me or RNG killing me slowly

I do agree about it not being as bad as Dark Charizard's era. As time went on I feel like Charizard became just a pest and handlable, but I've seen people sacrifice all of their Pokémon, had one Charmander left, Rare Candy, and defeat me with that one Pokémon. That has left me with problems forever.
However, the Mega Lucarios my opponent would get as their first evolution of the game, so I don't have time to get my Pokémon in a position to fight, letting them one-shot me and whatever came next. It just feels too easy in my opinion. But maybe my deck wasn't as good as I thought. It had strategy but all Stage 2 Pokémon, so I couldn't get my strength to fight back against Stage 1 with 130 damage.
I didn't know that Item Card could stack, though. That's gonna be a pain!
