Probably Armarouge ex. The one that, if has no damage, takes 80 less damage from attacks and its attack does 40 damage for each Fire Energy atatched to it.

Lets not forget cards that got rotated out

Darkrai V-star was one of my strongest pokemon, simply because I could load up my board with dark type energy and dark pulse would start oneshotting

and with star abyss i could grab any two item cards from my discard back to my hand to turn a predicament into an advantage

another deck I had before rotation happened was my Glimmora EX deck I affectionately dubbed…Poisonous Perils

It all centered around Glimmora EX and the deadly combo that was Perilous Jungle and Radiant Hisuian Sneazler

Glimmora EX has 2 things that make it a substantial threat, first is an attack that requires only 2 energy…deals 140 damage…and poisons the target

Perilous Jungle adds 2 extra poison counters if the opposing pokemon isn't a dark type and Radiant Hisuian Sneazler added 3 more poison counters for a total of 5 poison counters per turn

the final part that makes Glimmora EX so nasty is its ability…DUST FIELD. As long as Glimmora is in the active spot, your opponent can only have 4 pokemon in play

Unfortunately, rotation happened and radiant hisuian sneazler is no longer viable for standard play, I still can play the deck, but it is a shadow of its former self

If we're talking full strategy here, I had an Armarouge ex and Ogrepon ex, plus the Armarouge with Fire Off and Dark Charizard and Pokémon Go Charizard. I also added Flareon ex. I connect all fire to Armarouge ex and all grass to Ogrepon ex. I'll two energies to Flareon ex if I get it early on. I'll use its attack to attach two energies each turn to either Ogrepon or Armarouge ex depending which I already have a lot of energies on. I'll use Dark Charizard ex to attach more fire energies to my main two. Thanks to Fire Off from my Armarouge, I don't have to stress about fire energy placement because I can switch them between my Pokémon. I also have the Go Charizard with the ability that makes all Fire energies worth two instead of one. This makes it to where each fire energy is now worth two, so one on Armarouge ex increases the damage by 80 now, and one on Ogrepon ex increases the damage by 60. I rarely lost with this deck.
