Would you rather live in the Pokémon world as a Gym Leader or a Champion?

Either/or time! Would you prefer the day-to-day vibes of a Gym Leader, or the glory and pressure of a Champion? And what would your team look like?

Me personally, while champion sounds nice, I want to have a constant stream of challengers. I'd be Gym Leader number eight with a Fire team doing double battles.
Armarouge
Ceruledge
Cinderace
Infernape
Blaziken
And, my ace, Charizard
I can give a more detailed explanation of my team. I probably will later but I don't feel like it right now.

I would live as a Gym Leader instead of a Champion, because a Champion can defeat a lot of other trainers, but I can't.

gym leader seems more lax as i will basically always be a gym leader, champion not so much. job security is my concern

If we are to assume that each region can only have 8 gym leaders, I would suggest that being a gym leader is likely just as competitive as being a champion. The anime has suggested at certain points that there are more, and the protagonists only visit the 8 they need to challenge the league, but even then, everybody cannot be a gym leader any more than everybody can be a champion.
Generally gym leaders are implied to be strong trainers simply limiting their strength to an appropriate level for gym challenges, and if that is the case they are perhaps more like official examiners certifying trainers with badges than competitors in a league, and so being a gym leader seems more like a day job than being champion.
In the real world, the champion would be changing every five minutes unless champion matches were limited to once a season or once a year or something.
Of the two, being a gym leader seems more stable and slightly less stressful in either case.
