TCG Live vs TCG Online
I was pretty upset after the update and quit playing for a couple years. I am missing a lot of cards. Did anyone else have this issue?
Seems like the old game was almost perfect and this new game is cluttered and removes a lot of cool features. What are your thought about the new game vs the old game?

i miss TCG online, it felt like a more balanced game. There were no "meta" decks…rng didn't screw you over…there were fewer issues and bugs…and some of the pre-made decks were alot of fun to play
TCG live? It's like 1 step forward and 3 steps backwards, everyone has to play meta…RNG will bite you constantly…some people get bugs or disconnects…and alot of the pre-made decks can't hold up, you get them just to add the cards to your collection

I may have gotten the wrong app when I was a kid, but I got Online during Sun and Moon and they had a whole lot of non-TCG minigames. There were puzzles, memory matches, and other things like that which gave you rewards when completed. Once again, I may have had the wrong thing, but if that is what Online was, I like Online better.

The worst part of all, is that Pokemon is more popular than ever so it’s not like complaints or even suggestions will get us anywhere.
Both my boys, who are 13 and 10 years old, told me this weekend that they miss the old version. They hated the new one and refuse to play it. Now that they can’t buy cards anymore without competing with middle aged men scalping cards they’ve both have completely stopped collectIng Pokemon. Really sux that the fun of Pokemon has been completely eliminated for them. 😕. Makes me kinda sad, cuz I really enjoyed those years where the 3 of us collected, traded, bought packs opened together, and used the codes to build decks and play the games. I guess I just gotta accept the fact it’s over.1 -
I haven't accepted it's over, but I get this
I'd be your sons in this story
I was about seven when I started collecting
It was in the XY generation
My Uncle came over one time and he saw me having cards
He asked what they were and I said Pokémon cards
Apparently when he was really young he used to collect and now knowing they were still around, he started buying them again
This piqued the interest of my Aunt, who then also began to collect
Ever since then during my birthday or Christmas, they would get the three of us a really great box that's all the same and we'd open them together and show off what we get
I one of us got a duplicate that the others wanted, the wanters would offer some cards and the owner would choose which person offered a card they wanted and a trade would be made
Now my younger cousin is into cards, but I don't get to enjoy this type of thing with him
I rarely ever see Pokémon cards now-a-days, and my Uncle and Aunt struggle with it, too
When they do find packs they get enough for the three of them and they still send me pictures of the nice cards like we used to
It's just sad because I remember the good old day
From XY to halfway through Sword and Shield
It was during Sw/Sh that this issue began but it became worse after Scarlet and Violet
I just wish it wasn't this way
The only reason I can still at least enjoy the cards is TCGL
Even though it's not a physical card like I prefer, it's still at least something

It is sad, isn't it, the changes being made constantly to the game?
