Maybe an unpopular opinion

I think one of the cards that i dislike the most, is bosses orders. Or any of the variations that basically do the samething. I have always hated it an felt it would be better without it. Theres no way to really protect against it. I do use it in my decks of course, but just dont like the constant pressure of it. There are pokemon with abilities that can switch a players active and feel that is ok, but should be left to just that. Its a powerful card an i just think its op.

I don't think it's a bad take but I do think there are plenty of strategies against it.

You have cards like switch, but also the Surfer Dude card which draws cards as you switch. There are balloon tools, or you could play Pokemon with tricky abilities like Frillish locking someone's ability to use items (and later tools as it evolves)

That way, if your cards switch on a whim and you lack the resources to switch back out with energy or items, you can rely on the switched card. Crispen Cards can help arm them with energies extremely quickly as well.

It's important to make sure you have a solid bench lineup of Pokemon.

Really though most of the time when boss's order cards are used: It's because your opponent is going to one shit the next card for an easy prize

Or because of desperation to give themselves more breathing room to recover/setup.

@Sega_Kid I understand what you are saying. But switching back to the active isnt really my issue with it. I always try to build my decks with some type of retreat card or ability. But thats not my issue with it. Majority of the time its late game changer or can be used to cripple right from the start. Late game switching out the active so you can knock out an easier target or weaker one. Or trying to set up the board and keep pulling important pokemon off the bench to knockout an not letting opponent evolve.

Im guilty for using it this way too. Its very strong card an can be used to easily cripple opponents and theres no way to guard against it.
