What team you all choosing for z-a?

to be honest I didn't know if I put this in discussion or question xD

But here is some mons I prob gonna use, though this is 100% gonna change since I use some unexpected mons my playthroughs, such as the goat chatot in BDSP

  1. emboar. gonna choose this as starter reason: Pig Pig Pig PIG Pig P I G

2. tyrunt. it my second fave chompy boi but I still don't know if I am gonna evolve it or not

3. watchog. WE ARE SO PATBACK GUYS!

4. noiven. I always loved this Pokémon but never really got a chance to use it cause when I find one or noibat in I grow way to attached to my team, I did try it to use it in Pokémon X, but it was under levelled, plus I was young, and it was my second mainline game so I used xerneas instead lol

5. Scizor, I LOVE this Pokémon for the longest time it was my second fave after vaporeon, then fuecoco exist and vaporeon… you know I am not gonna say it on the forums.

Scizor prob gonna be one of my Megas, gonna be switching Megas with this next one

6. Slowbro. the amount of slowpoke content on the official Pokémon channel has forced me.

7. (some other mons I might use) machamp: used it at some point in every switch game not including let's go Eevee, and 2 of the games legends arkoos and shield used it to beat the game, in shining pearl it like held on 1 hp cause it like me in the palkia fight like 4 times, as a machoke. Kangaskan: ausie. Hawlucha: PAM. caterpie: tbh prob because he is a treasure in pmd. Gengar, ngl pmd kinda put me off this guy :P

that's my team lol

unrelated my dog in on my bed so dang cute

Not taking into consideration starters, legendries, old pokemon that have a new evolution or forms, and new pokemon, it will most likely have the following:

Florges, Crawdaunt, Pangoro, Barbaracle, Tyrantrum, Aurorus, Golurk, Nidoking, Reuniclus, Sableye, and Noivern

    1. I'm picking Totodile as a homage to my HeartGold game, so Feraligatr will definitely be on the team.
    2. Dragonite, definitely. Especially with its new mega
    3. Delphox as a homage to my original X game
    4. Absol, cause I love that little edgy dude

My last two slots I wanna leave open to possibility! Aegislash, Talonflame, slowking, clefable and goodra are all sorta in the running tho.

Hmm I will probably be transferring a bunch from home when they make that possible so for an endgame team:

    1: Aegislash (shiny)

    2: Meganium

    3: Primal Groudon (shiny)

    4: Primal Kyogre (shiny)

    5: Mega Rayquaza

    6: Mega Mewtwo Y (shiny)

I just hope they do what was in oras where primal works differently then mega so I can have 2 primals and 1 mega in a single battle!

Actually I might swap rayquaza for my shiny zygarde.

It might be a tad too early to choose a team, given that we haven't seen the full Pokédex.

It is not a new generation, so we are unlikely to have more than perhaps a couple of new Pokémon hidden away at most (though I think they would have shown them off in the marketing already). New megas are doing the heavy lifting in that department. And as for the region in general, a lot of them will probably be Kalos Pokémon, for obvious reasons.

But it appears combat and stats will work differently in this game, so unless you are picking purely for Pokémon you like aesthetically, you might not be able to apply quite the same team building techniques you used in other games.

And for my first playthrough of a new game, I tend not to plan a team. If I see a Pokémon I like I might earmark it for my team. I did that with Fidough in SV, for example. But generally I will pick up new Pokémon on the fly, letting the team form naturally. In new gens I tend to prioritise new Pokémon for novelty and so I am forced to learn about them and their abilities, but in this case I will probably try to pick Pokémon that I haven't used before or have new mega forms I want to try out.
