Exlusion of Fairy Typing (TCG)

As someone who was a Pokémon TCG collector, I've once seen many Fairy Type Pokémon cards. But nowadays, I've seen little to none being released. Is there a reason?

    There were never a lot of Fairy type cards and they weren't very popular. Pokemon stopped producing them a while back.

    Fairy types don't exist in the TCG anymore, they're now Psychic types.
