Trading Feature Update Part 2 - Discussion Thread

Nice change, but so much work is needed :
- Universal pack points is needed. Players actually get so much pack points from so much extensions and can't use it. Add the same limit of trading : you can't buy the newest extension and wait 1 month before doing it. Also, if universal pack points is implemented, you can keep the same limit of 2500 points.
- Add higher rarity to trading : promo cards, 2 stars cards and shiny cards. It will not impact the economy of the game with the limit you have put in place.
- Dark mode
- Option to buy in one click all the hourglass in the monthly shop.

They talk about exchanging trade tokens for pack hourglasses, but what about trade hourglasses? Do I need to use those now? Or will I be able to use them during the exchange?

I’m so lost.
If we get shinedust when we get a duplicate (double amount now) - great.
If we can trade our trade tokens for shinedust after the change - great.
If we have lets say 7 duplicates of a card now - and we get shine dust on duplicates (2+ cards - still gives double shinedust on duplicate pull) what good is the other 5 cards after after the change? Those 5 are worth nothing other than trading later and spending shinedust to trade them???
why not burn them now? Burn the five to get as much trade tokens I can NOW so I can’t use the shinedust later because the dups are good for nothing but giving to others above 2 cards???Why hold on to 7 duplicates? Seems right to burn everything in my deck above 2 cards to get a “currency” that I hope can be used at a reasonable rate (please developers!).
What is wrong with my thinking????

It is really a bad idea to replace exchange tokens by shinedust because this penalizes the players who used shinedust to acquire flairs ! Whereas it was so simple to keep exchange tokens and give more opportunity to collect them !! I really don't understand the interest of this change …

The best solution for duplicates would be to trade/consume them for pack (or wonder-pick) hourglasses, utlimately seeking high-rarity cards (2-star and above).
But there's the problem of bots and other exploits, like multiple accounts… So, some checking for "are you human?" would be required and also some gating/limits (to discourage making new accounts or rerolling them).
Concerning checks to exclude bots, I think there's tons of AI tools nowadays, that could be used, e.g., to analyze activity when in-the-app and deduce if you're human or not. The same can be used to see if the account is "active" and, if so, grant it some benefits (i.e., for sticking with the game weekly-monthly, throughout multiple sets and events, etc.).0 -
Thanks for the update 😃 Need more details on the new trading economics though… Anyway, looking forward to completing various "holes" in my collection, missions, and battle decks!
I'm also in favor of making the pack points universal (or at least per-series, e.g., points earned by {A2,A2a,A2b} set packs can be spent to buy cards from any of the three sets) and for allowing higher-rarity trades.
