Crystal Team Advice

I'm replaying crystal, and I'm planning on my team consisting of the following

  1. Feraligatr
  2. Arcanine
  3. Donphan
  4. Umbreon
  5. Crobat

But I can't for the life of me decide the 6th member. Any advice for which Pokemon would be best for number 6? Thanks in advance!

    probably a waterfall hm user since feraligatr can only learn the hms cut flash whirlpool and surf in gen 2 since to traverse through the game you need hm users

    this may seem obvious, but have you considered the red gyarados?
