Bringing back the poll feature
it seems this is a new idea thread option though now there is no polls so I have a great idea to bring polls back

Honestly I think this new type of discussion is weird because there's no disagree if I dislike the idea.
Also, even though polls failed to load half the time, they were fun. They should bring them back.

They have removed broken features only to bring them back later once they've been fixed. That might be happening in this case.
In the meantime, what am I looking at? Why does this post have three triangles?

The up vote system is kind of pointless. How does it differ from the agree and disagree buttons?
Also I find the aversion to dislikes or negative reactions frustrating. Disagreeing with someone is not an attack or tantamount to hatred. I disagree with my friends all the time. That is what inspires most of our discussions in the first place. What do people who agree on everything even talk about?
That said, I have repeatedly expressed my distaste for up votes and down votes, forum points and forum ranks. It turns posting into a game to try and get the high score, rather than being motivated by genuine interest in creating a quality discussion.
It only encourages spam and the posting of popular opinions so as to avoid losing forum points.
They should fix and bring back the old polls, because the focus was on the poll options being discussed rather than getting the most updoots.
