Pokémon Ruin: Chapter One
(This is not the first chapter, the first chapter is Chapter Zero, which I will link in a comment. You should probably read that first.)
Alright. Today's the night I need to leave this place. I'm... really scared, to be honest. But I NEED to go and save this world. I'm sick of waiting, it feels like nothing is happening or improving and I can't handle this any longer! Me and my Pokémon have been training for this for years. We can do this!
But today is a school day, so I had to go there first... I hate going to school. All I can do is just sit alone in my chair and wait for it to finish! But I won't need to go there ever again when I become the hero who stopped the Ultra Beasts. Everyone will finally respect me! In just a few days, I'll never be ignored or made fun of ever again!
When it was finally over, I went to find a quiet place without people in it so I could train a little bit more before leaving and practice the plan I made with Litleo and Hoppip. Near the river that surrounds the city, I found what LOOKED like a quiet, empty place without people in it. We were about to start practicing when I heard a weird sound I've never heard before, along with the sound of someone moving a little bit behind the trees. The sound didn't sound like a person's or object's, but I've never heard a Pokémon make a noise like that either.
I told Hoppip and Litleo to stick near me and be alert, and we moved closer to the thing making that noise. I also heard a person moving, but the movement stopped when we started getting closer. Behind some trees and bushes, there was a small, injured Ultra Beast I've never seen, with triangles for wings, a dark blue body with cyan stripes on it, a light blue beak, and eyes that looked like they were... just floating around its head..? I'm not even sure they're eyes, to be honest, as they were just spheres the same colours as the rest of it's body with one light blue dot on each, but.. Why is there an ULTRA BEAST inside the city anyways?! They should be outside, where they can't reach here and destroy places where people still live! How hasn't anyone noticed it yet?
Then I looked a little to the left, and saw a kid from my school holding ORAN BERRIES. Why in the world is he helping it?! He just stared at me, shaking, looking like he was trying to say something. I was just going to speak, but he started speaking first. "I-I-I... I know it lo-looks like… I'm doing s-something I shouldn't, b-but this guy is ha-... this guy is harmless! It's just lost, it just wants to go back to his own home! It didn't come here willingly!" He sounded like he was struggling to speak, as he continued shaking and shivering.
I asked if he seriously thought that just because it's small, it can't do any damage. He started talking about how the Ultra Beasts are only attacking because they're scared and lost in a different world and I kind of didn't understand anything else. While I just stared at him waiting for him to finish, I remembered that this was the only kid who scored 100% on the last Ultra Beast exam, Champion Florian's little brother, Oliver. It's honestly surprising that he likes Ultra Beasts so much, considering what happened to his brother.
I thought he stopped, but he just took a break before saying something stupid again; he told me the Ultra Beast has the power to open Ultra Wormholes at will when it's fully healed, and that its power could be used to peacefully end all the problems happening now.
I was going to call him out on how stupid that idea was, before I had an idea. The reason I have to go alone was because another person would obviously snitch and make it so I can't go right? ...But this guy sounds like he wants to go. And if he also wants to go, he obviously won't tell anyone. Honestly, I didn't like the idea of going alone because it sounded dangerous, but it was my only option. He might not help us fight at first, but I'm sure he's going to realise that he has to soon.
So I asked him if he's going to leave Mesagoza. He looked frozen in fear and like he was having trouble trying to speak, again, but he answered with an anxious-sounding yes. I asked him what team does he have to go with him, and he answered that he has his Sprigatito, "Green", and the Ultra Beast, who he's calling "Indigo".
I invited him to join me, Litleo, and Hoppip, because we're leaving TONIGHT, and I'd even help him heal that Beast! (it's probably going to run away or try to attack something, but I'm sure I could stop it.) He stood for a minute, maybe longer, thinking, and he answered "sure", sounding even more nervous than before.
Just a few hours, and we'll get away from this reverse-prison and finally fix the problems that haven't been getting better for the past ten years!

YES! IT GOT APPROVED! I was honestly a little worried because I forgot to copy the text before posting in case it for some reason didn't get approved, but I don't have to spend another couple weeks/months on it! Yes!

Also, I'm considering changing the name since it's a little generic right now.
Also just realised I forgot to mention the boy's name. His name is Oliver. I'm going to have to edit that in a little bit later.
