Question About XY Evolutions
I just discovered this expansion with reprints of the Base set. I guess it's out of rotation so I can't use the cards anymore. Is that true?
Good thing it was digital. Imagine how much money I would have wasted on physical cards. Not that I know anyone who plays the card game. I only have one friend and he's into cars and sports and doesn't care about video games or anything like Pokemon.

You can still use XY Evolutions in the Expanded format, but the set overall is not legal in Standard. Some of the Trainer cards (Potion, Super Potion, Switch, and Energy Retrieval) have been reprinted in Standard legal sets, so you can use those, plus any Basic Energy. Energy Retrieval has an errata though, so you play it as the newest version, which lets you return UP to 2 Basic Energy cards from your discard pile to your hand, instead of just 2.
