Busybody Nurse Doesn't Work?

Every time I have had the chance to use Blissey's "Busybody Nurse" Ability, it just does nothing. I dont know if I am missing something, but I have tried it several times to cure paralysis, confusion, and sleep and it does not work on them. I believe I have had it work on poison but thats the only success.
