Shaymin's Sky Support not affecting Basic EX's?

Hey, I found a potential bug, but I'm not sure, maybe that's intended. When I have Shaymin on my bench and Darkrai EX( which is a 'Basic' Pokemon) on the Active Spot it has the "star" symbol on the card( abilitie's effect), but when I try to retreat it still takes an energy. Should it work like that or ability works only with non-EX cards? If so, why the symbol is shown on a card( like the ability should be working with it)?

    Sky Support only reduces the Retreat Cost by 1. If you look at the Darkrai ex card itself, you'll notice that the card has a retreat cost of 2. The symbol you see upon selecting the card in-battle only shows a cost of 1 precisely BECAUSE Sky Support is working as it should.
