does Toedscruel (PAR #017) ability prevent archaludon ex (SSP #130) ability

I just played a game where it was an archaludon ex mirror match. I played Toedscruel (PAR #017), whose ability states that it prevents any cards from being recovered from the discard via trainers or abilities, but when my opponent played their Archludon ex, they were still able to get Energys out from their discard. I think this might be a bug, but I'm not sure. The opponent also didnt have any cards in play that would cancel out toedscruels ability. I ended up losing because my opponent was able to get the assemble alloy off when toedscruel should have canceled it out.

No, Toedscruel does not stop the energy acceleration of Archaludon ex.

Toedscruel stops cards from being put into the hand. But Archaludon accelerates the energies directly to the Pokemon, not to the hand.
