Mr Rhime bug? Screen Cleaner ability should prevent poison?

I had energy attached to my glaceon.. then again later in the match I had energy attached to my miltank and I had the mr. rhime with the screen cleaner ability which reads EXACT SAME as the Espeon Vmax Solar Revelation ability. I was up against a galarian Weezing and when I got that Mr. Rhime setup I thought it was a game winning type of card. Nope. Some freaking goofy way the weezing continued to poison me?!? This has to be a bug right?!? What's going on??!!? I feel like I should have won my match!!! And yes I absolutely had energy on them EACH TIME... oh wait, I think I just figured it out... Galarian Weezing shuts off the abilities of everything else... CHEAT CARD. Grrrrr....
