Charizard EX bugged?

Used paralysis against a Charizard EX, won the coin toss, and it still didn't work. On my opponent's very next turn, the paralysis was still in affect, yet they were still able to attack. Is there some kind of fine print I missed where the Charizard EX is immune to this? There were no other cards on the field that would nullify the paralysis.

    Depends on the Charizard ex. The one in the live deck is from 151 (so fire type). could be using a card that says “do not apply weaknesses or resistances” too.

    This is where a replay system would come in handy to rewatch previous matches to clarify stuff without using third-party software to record games.
