I've quit the game today.

These Events such as the Pawmot drop event has now caused me to quit the game. I can not continue to play a game where I can not complete the collection. I understand I won't be able to get every card but at least the cards I don't have currently I can still aim to go for through pack openings. The Pawmot event refused to let me pull the Pawmot. I've had over 20 Floatzels, 20 Bidoofs, over 10 Machamps and over 20 Ekans. Yet not a single Pawmot, now the event has ended and these cards are not tradable therefore I can never get this card, unless rules change further down the line for trading which I'm not up for waiting for after I just pushed 50+ of the same battle (which is boring in itself) for a card I didn't end up receiving. I had similar luck on the last version of this event but managed to pull the 5th card I needed from the event after roughly 40 battles. This game design just isn't for me. I love opening the packs but even the drop rates have ruined that and your more likely to draw duplicates than anything good. Wonderpicks are destroyed because drop rates are so low meaning my wonderpick energy is constantly full because there is never anything good to chase. I had bought every premium card and been a subscriber from day 1, I have friends who are completely F2P on the game, no subscription, never bought anything on the game, yet they have had god packs, pulled all the best cards from the packs before I could, even though I open 1 more a day than them, they have also all pulled the 5 cards from the Pawmot event. The games being destroyed by greed and predatory tactics from the developers and I'm not staying around for it. I will return to Pokémon Live as I prefer the official rules for the game anyway.
Goodbye folks.

I largely agree with almost everything you've said, and am just about at that point too. I am at the point with this app where i open it twice a day. Once in the morning to open a pack and complete daily quests, once in the evening to open a pack. I dont engage in battles anymore at all.
I stopped bothering with the “drop events” after the blastoise one for this exact reason. I think it was in that drop event i pulled roughly 35 of an eevee card, and never once pulled the blastoise, or even one of the other possible drops in that pack. Not wasting my time playing the same mindless battle over and over and over
The only thing i disagree with here is this statement.

You paying money should not give you better pull rates, especially because thats not an advertised perk of subscription, but also because that would add on to the greedy and predatory tactics you commented on. Though i can understand why one would feel like it should increase the rates.
I would argue that that the fact subscriptions seemingly dont increase your pull rates is the only balanced part of this whole game0 -

I never once said I should get better pull rates, so not sure where you have pulled that one from, but the obvious point is, if you open more packs your more likely to get the better cards. Yet my collection is nowhere near some of theirs, so why is it fair they can open half the packs I would in a month and then get better cards than me? I wouldn't be pointing out this if it was a splitting hairs case.
I haven't logged back on since the Pawmot event ended anyway and don't look like I'm going to be returning. The chase of cards out of boosters wasn't my issue as I could of chased them for years to come
It's the event cards not being pulled out of packs when that's the only option to get the cards.

I was saying that thats the implication of what you’re saying. “I pay money so i should have better cards” is what basically what your saying, which would basically mean your pull rates should be increased.
Yes, you open a pack a day more than f2p people, so technically your odds of getting a better card are higher… ever so slightly, but honestly kind of negligibly… 3 chances at a 0.117% pull is still not amazing and, honestly, not worth the money imo.
Again, otherwise i agree with you, having a limited time event being the only way to get cards and then having opened many dozens of packs just to never get some of those limited time card sucks, furthered by not even being able to trade for them.

I keep thinking about how I would not play this game at all if I hadn't started at launch.
I think the bottom of this game's playerbase will fall out at some point, once the honeymoon phase is over for the first wave of longterm players.
If they don't slow down with the set releases and give newer players ways to catch up, it's inevitable. They're crazy if they think most people will put up with this release schedule for more than a year.
