Pokemon Unite Feedback

Hi community,

I would like to share some feedback and suggestions to improve the game.

Improve Matchmaking Balance

Matchmaking should ensure fairer matches by preventing excessive skill gaps and unbalanced team compositions. Implementing a Draft Pick phase specially for Solo Queue players in Ranked could help create more strategic matchups and reduce the dominance of unbalanced Pokémon selections by coordinated teams.

Improve Communication System

Communication is a key part of any team-based game. However, due to the strict reporting system, many players have been banned unfairly based on mass reports rather than actual behavior. I strongly suggest reviewing these penalties and lifting voice chat bans for affected players. Implementing a better reporting review (voice analysis; voice to text) system would prevent unfair punishments and restore proper communication for those who play fairly.

Adjustments to Late-Game Objectives

Currently, securing Rayquaza and other major objectives grants an overwhelming advantage. The point multiplier system should be limited to ensure fairer outcomes. It feels frustrating when a team that has performed well throughout the match can lose just because the enemy team secured Rayquaza due to luck rather than skill. The shield and point system should be adjusted so that it doesn’t completely negate an entire game’s worth of effort.

Performance-Based Penalty System

AFK players and those who intentionally throw matches significantly impact game quality. However, some players avoid penalties by intentionally taking damage from wild Pokémon (bots) to fake participation. The penalty system should evaluate match factors such as damage dealt, damage received, and HP recovery to determine if a player should be penalized.

Ranked Point System Based on Role-Specific Objectives

To improve ranked matches and encourage proper role fulfillment, players should receive ranked points based on in-game objectives tailored to their Pokémon's role instead of ranked MMR. This would reward meaningful gameplay instead of just focusing on wins/losses.

Role-Based Objectives (Example):

  • Defender: Stay with each teammate for at least X seconds during combat.
  • Attacker: Eliminate 4 or more enemy players.
  • Supporter: Support 2 or more teammates for X time.

The time requirements should ensure that Supporters or Defenders contribute to the entire team rather than just helping one ally, preventing unfair advantages and ensuring balanced teamwork.

These are more ideas I want to share, and I truly hope that Pokémon Unite improves in the future. Right now, I'm inactive to the game because the game feels frustrating due to recent updates and ranked point system. Hopefully, changes can be made to create a better experience for all players.

Thank you for considering this feedback!

Ya late game objectives really a pain. I guss it will be balanced if they just removed the score doubling, uninterrupted fast scoring is good enough

Couldnt agree more with majority what you said.

However, there have been many players suggest the SAME ideas.. and Devs still have not incorporated those changes. So very low chance they will now. If it doesn't make them a quick $ they don't make those kinds of updates.
