Is it worth going to Paris for Pokémon GO Fest 2025 even without tickets?

I was considering traveling to Paris from June 13-15 for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, but the tickets are sold out. I heard sometimes events release more tickets closer to the date—has Niantic ever done that in the past? Is there any hope of getting a ticket if I keep checking?
If I can’t get a ticket, is it still worth going? I know there will be a lot of other Pokémon GO players around, but would there be any in-game benefits outside the official event areas? Or would it basically just be like playing at home, but in Paris?
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s been to past GO Fest events, especially those who went without a ticket!
