Pay-to-win?
Is it just me or does it seem like the only way to have success in this game is to dump a ton of money into this game? Or maybe I just suck at the game LUL who knows but I can't seem to win more than one game before I get destroyed in the next five…

Money has zero effect on the outcome of each battle (Outside of collection size allowing for a proper deck, which free players can easily achieve within a month), but luck is about 75% of it.
The fact that each win is weighted at about 75% luck and you are insinuating that yoir winrate is less than 25%, then yeah, I'd say there's a skill-issue.

There is an element of pay to win in every TCG, unless it is a Living Card Game (or whatever the copyright friendly term for that is that won't get you sued by Fantasy Flight) that gives you playsets of every card in the game for deck building.
Players willing to pay for more booster packs are more likely to pull the most powerful cards, and pull more of them. This means they will have more desirable cards to trade and/or sell and use to acquire other cards they want. Or they can straight up buy the singles.
This cannot be eliminated entirely without giving each player playsets of every card.
However, PTCGP is fairly generous with its free packs and you can accrue a reasonable collection and at least one competitive deck with free packs alone. Unless you are exceptionally unlucky, but even then, pack points would eventually allow you to pick up all the cards you needed once you had opened enough packs.
