Balance Updates
Changes have been made to Pokémon stats and moves to adjust the balance of Unite Battles.
Eldegoss
Pollen Puff+
- Level learned: Lv. 11 → Lv. 10
Leaf Tornado+
- Level learned: Lv. 11 → Lv. 10
Cotton Guard+
- Level learned: Lv. 13 → Lv. 12
Cotton Spore+
- Level learned: Lv. 13 → Lv. 12
Eldegoss has difficulty gaining experience from wild Pokémon, making it hard to reach Lv. 13 in most battles. By lowering the level required to learn upgraded moves, Eldegoss can now focus on supporting allies while still being able to use upgraded moves by the late stages of the battle.
Ceruledge
Bitter Blade
- Damage: 10% increase
Psycho Cut
- Cooldown: 7s → 6.5s
Phantom Force
- Damage: 5% increase
The previous nerf caused Ceruledge to deal less damage than expected for a balanced type, so its damage output has been increased.
Buzzwole
Smack Down
- Cooldown: 6.5s → 6s
Superpower
- Base shield amount: 12% of max HP → 20% of max HP
- Cooldown: 8.5s → 8s
To better counter close-range Pokémon currently performing well in Unite Battles, Smack Down and Superpower have been buffed.
Scizor
Bullet Punch
- Damage: 5% increase
- Cooldown: 5s → 4.5s
Scizor's strength lies in its ability to increase its damage and defense during extended battles, but it took too long to reach that potential. By reducing Bullet Punch's cooldown, Scizor can now achieve peak combat power more quickly.
Blastoise
Surf
- Cooldown: 8.5s → 7.5s
Surf+
- Shield amount: 35% increase
Hydro Pump
- Cooldown: 7s → 6s
Rapid Spin
- Cooldown: 11s → 10s
Rapid Spin+
- Defense increase: 12% increase
- Special Defense increase: 12% increase
Unite Move
- Energy required: 11% decrease
Blastoise's win rate and usage rate remain low. To enhance its hindrance capabilities and late-game durability, several moves have been buffed.
Darkrai
Boosted Attacks (including additional damage from Nasty Plot)
- Damage: 20% decrease
Dark Void
- Cooldown: 3.5s → 4s
Shadow Claw
- Damage: 20% increase
The damage output of Darkrai's Dark Void and boosted attacks, especially when combined with Nasty Plot, was too high and has been nerfed. On the other hand, Shadow Claw, which had low usage, has been buffed to provide more move options.
Psyduck
Ability: Swift Swim
- Headache Gauge increase: 25% decrease
- Movement speed boost: 70% → 40% (decreases by 10% every 0.5 seconds)
- Effect when Headache Gauge reaches 100%: Invincible → Unstoppable
Disable
- Damage: 15% decrease
- Propagation: 5 → 4 times (Enhanced: 8 → 6 times)
- Propagation per target: 2 → 1 time (Enhanced: 3 → 2 times)
- Cooldown: 7s → 8s
Psychic
- Maximum range: 8m → 9m
- Pull duration: 0.55s → 0.85s
- Self movement speed reduction: 40% → 10%
Psyduck's ability provided overly strong protection and has been nerfed. While Disable’s damage and frequency have been reduced, Psychic’s usability has been improved to expand move options.
Mimikyu
Shadow Sneak
- Cooldown: 8s → 9s
Shadow Claw
- Damage: 5% decrease
The high usage rate in ranked matches has persisted, so the moves that have been performing well have been nerfed to encourage changes in the meta.
Zacian
Metal Claw
- Shockwave damage: 50% decrease
- Dash damage: 6% decrease
The high usage rate in ranked matches and in tournaments has persisted, so Metal Claw, which is primarily used, has been nerfed to encourage changes in the meta. In particular, the damage of its shockwave has been significantly reduced to ensure its true value shines when used to block opposing moves.
Inteleon
Basic Attacks & Boosted Attacks
- Damage: 12% increase
Snipe Shot
- Damage: 10% increase
Liquidation
- Damage: 12% increase
A bug where Inteleon’s critical damage increased after being KO’d has been fixed in this patch. As part of fixing this bug, the anticipated damage shortfall has been compensated.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where Hoopa’s warp via Hyperspace Hole would still activate after being hit by certain hindrances.
- Fixed an issue where Inteleon’s critical damage would increase after being KO’d once.
