Question about Ash’s Charizard not in either last Pokémon alternate continuity anime movies

Were fans sometimes disappointed that Ash’s Charizard didn’t appear in the last two Pokémon alternate continuity anime movies, both The Power of Us and Secrets of the Jungle? Why?

    I just want ash to return to the main series and just want the movies to be in the cannon timeline

    Most likely has to do with the film crew for the AU Pokemon films.
