Froslass Freezing Shroud bug

I just played a game using freezing shroud in my deck but it was triggering on a gritty claws torracat which shouldnt be the case as it has no ability.

    does it have a Pokémon tool that lets it have an ability?

    An attached tool doesn't give Pokemon abilities, it may only allow a Pokemon to access the "tool ability"… Freezing Shroud only applies to Pokemon with an ability.

    Without logs, by the info provided by OP it looks like a bug indeed.
