Noivern ex Bug

I had Noivern ex attack with Covert Flight.

The opponent played bosses orders and switched it to the bench then used radiant greninja to attack and kill it.

Radiant greninja is a BASIC pokemon/

Covert flight does NOT say the effect only works if in the active.

Covert flight reads: "During your opponent's next turn, prevent all damage done to this pokemon by attacks from Basic Pokemon."

I believe this is a bug.

Not a bug, the rules say effects of attacks are removed from Pokemon when moved to the bench.

I belive it's the game most referenced rule by far.

People ask about "why lost the effect after moving to the bench" all the time lol they mostly assume it's a bug.
