Attention Trainers,
We want to keep you updated on player-reported bugs and issues that affect the game. This isn't a complete list of everything being tracked or worked on, but a list of issues reported here on our forums, online, and through our Support Team.
The Team is working hard to resolve these issues, and we greatly appreciate your patience and diligence in reporting!
Fixes Incoming:
Card Logic
- Thievul (PAR #120)'s 'Rob-'n'-Run' Ability causes match instability when used to discard an opponent's entire hand in Test Deck.
Gameplay
- Lillie's Full Force (CEC #196) effect functions if the Player has 4 or less cards available in their Deck.
- Milotic (EVS #038) 'Dew Guard' ability does not generate battle logs when blocking the effects of Supporter cards.
- Solgaleo-GX (SUM #089) "Sol Burst-GX" effect does not allow searching for Special Energies.
- Gladion (CIM #095) reveals the chosen prize card to the opponent.
- Trevenant (OBF #012)'s 'Forest Miasma' ability does not display a negative status effect indicator on the opposing Pokémon.
Battle Pass
- Players occasionally do not receive the Premium Pass Tier 0 when purchasing the Premium Pass.
Known Issues:
General
- Players often do not receive notifications when a User disconnects and/or reconnects from a match.
- Players will occasionally view misrepresented Ranked Ladder progress when returning to the Home page after a match.
- Players will occasionally encounter visual effect issues when swapping between areas within the Friends page.
- Players cannot exit the client or change to Windowed mode without using keyboard shortcuts during login, loading screens or in a match.
Stability
- Players sometimes connect to more than one opponent at the start of a match, causing client match instability.
- Players encounter significant device overheating when using the client for an extended period on certain devices.
- Players occasionally will encounter a "blurry" screen when logging into or restarting the client.
Card Logic
- Incorrect textures are displayed around energy types when using Porygon (MEW #137)'s 'Conversion 4' attack.
- Arc Phone (LOR #152) causes the Prize card counter to improperly increase when playing in Test Deck.
- Torracat (SIT #031) 'Gritty Claws' attack is incorrectly shown as an Ability while in play.
- Players will encounter client match instability when attempting to use Teal Mask Ogerpon ex (TWM #025) 'Teal Dance' ability to attach energy while under the effects of Gengar & Mimikyu GX (TEU #053) 'Horror House GX' attack.
- Test Deck AI can use Archeops (SIT #147) 'Primal Turbo' ability to attach up to 2 Special Energy to two different Pokémon.
- Certain card effects, such as Chansey (MEW #113) 'Lucky Bonus' ability, that revolve around taking multiple prize cards and resolving with effects that allows the Player to take another prize card, causes the 'prize cards taken' counter to increment, which affects certain card effects, such as Brambleghast (TEF #021) 'Resilient Soul' ability.
- Eevee (SUM #101) 'Energy Evolution' ability can be activated using a Fighting or Metal basic energy.
- Will (CEC #208) affects coins that are flipped for Confusion effects.
Bibarel (BRS #121) 'Industrious Incisors' ability is occasionally unusable when the Player's deck contains fewer than 5 cards. - Glimmora ex (OBF #123) 'Dust Field' ability does not activate properly when certain ability suppression effects, such as Galarian Weezing (RCL #113) 'Neutralizing Gas' ability, is active and is being actively suppressed, such as with Stealthy Hood (UNB #186), on the playmat.
- Players who take an extra turn via an attack effect, such as Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR (ASR #114) 'Star Chronos', do not skip the Pokémon Checkup phase, allowing the Pokémon to be affected by Status Conditions.
- Jumpluff (EVS #004) 'Fluffy Barrage' ability bypasses attack suppression effects, such as Golduck (TEU #027) 'Amnesia', when Jumpluff has access to other attacks through certain attachments, such as Technical Machine: Blindside (PAR #176).
- Latias (UNM #153) 'Energy Arrow' displays a fixed attack damage value.
- Latios-GX (UNM #078) 'Clear Vision GX' attack effect does not prevent Players from copying and using a GX attack through a copy attack effect, such as Mew ex (MEW #151) 'Genome Hacking'.
- Rayquaza-GX (CES #160) 'Dragon Break' attack damage does not increase when benefiting from Venusaur (SLG #003) 'Jungle Totem' ability.
- V-Union cards, such as Morpeko V-Union (PR-SWSH #216), will disappear from the playmat after discarding energy from them using certain attacks, such as Raichu V (BRS #045) 'Dynamic Spark' attack.
- Players who take an extra turn via an attack effect, such as Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR (ASR #114) 'Star Chronos’ and are subsequently KO'd by another attack along with the opposing Player's active Pokémon, such as Galarian Stunfisk (VIV #125) 'Counterattack', do not promote their Pokémon to the active spot in the correct order.
- Players must hit the 'Done' button twice when resolving multiple simultaneous effects from Spirit Mask (EVS #160) and Rugged Helmet (CRE #152) that occur when attached to a single Pokémon, such as Revavroom ex (OBF #156).
- Special Energy with restrictions, such as Impact Energy (CRE #157), that are attached to Pokémon through an attack or ability that does not match that restriction, such as Porygon-Z (UNB #157) 'Crazy Code' ability, are discarded before any opposing effects activate that are related to energy attachment, such as Gengar ex (TEF #104) 'Gnawing Curse' ability.
Gameplay
- Players are occasionally unable to select valid cards when using certain card selection effects, such as Nest Ball (SUM #123) or Hisuian Heavy Ball (ASR #146).
- Card effects that reparent or attach energy from the Hand display an inaccurate prompt for the opposing Player.
- Players are occasionally unable to place or move cards after disconnecting from a network and re-connecting.
- Technical Machine: Devolution (PAR #177) incorrectly displays erroneous animations when using the devolve effect on multiple Pokémon.
- The Player's Hand occasionally will be removed and become unplayable when viewing certain cards in Big Card View while performing that card's action, such as Professor Sada's Vitality (PAR #170).
- Players will occasionally view fragmented damage counter effects when viewing a damaged Pokémon on the bench after attaching damage counters.
- Test Deck AI can incorrectly use cards that are not part of the current legal format when testing a deck in the Standard Deck Manager.
- Incorrect placement animations can be viewed by the Player when using card effects that attach energy cards, such as Archeops (SIT #147) and Geeta (OBF #188).
- Players will occasionally view an incorrect drag card highlight direction within the card carousel when using certain card selection effects, such as Colress's Experiment (LOR #205).
- Battle Pass quest progress is incorrectly totaled if a match enters Sudden Death mode.
- Player’s turns will end incorrectly depending on the amount of time spent when idling during a Mulligan notification popup.
- Players can only interact with one piece of Morpeko V-Union (PR-SWSH #287-290) within the discard pile to assemble and play the cards.
- Players will occasionally encounter rotated Avatars when continuously pressing on the Ranked Ladder Badge when loading into a match.
- Area Zero Underdepths (SCR #174)’s effect causes the Bench to not be completely visible on Galaxy Flip devices.
Battle Log
- Minior (PAR #99) incorrectly displays duplicate Battle Log entries when attaching Jet Energy (PAL #190) and using it's 'Far-Flying Meteor' ability.
- Gladion (CIN #95) effect incorrectly reveals a chosen prize card to the opposing Player in the Battle Log.
- Parasect (TEU #7) 'Panic Spores' ability Battle Log entry displays incorrect damage source information.
- Grapploct (PAF #32) 'Slow-Acting Syncope' attack effect does not display correctly in the Battle Log.
- Cacnea (SVI #5) 'Counterattack Quills' ability incorrectly displays as an opposing Player's attack in the Battle Log.
- The Battle Log incorrectly displays "A card was activated" entry after an end-of-turn effect is triggered for certain card effects, such as Blue's Tactics (UNM #188).
Login
- Players are incorrectly forced to re-login on iOS devices when the client is minimized due to inactivity.
- Players occasionally will encounter client errors when attempting to login to the client.
- Players are occasionally unable to login to the client but can login to Pokemon.com using the same account.
- Players occasionally login to other Player's accounts on the same network connection if re-logging into the client after crashing on iOS devices.
- Players using a MacOS with OS Mojave 10.14 experience client login errors.
- Players are incorrectly forced to restart the login process when selecting the "Privacy Notice" or "Terms of Service" on the login page.
- Players occasionally experience duplicate account issues when migrating or redeeming codes within TCGL.
Battle Pass
- Battle Pass displays incorrectly proportioned basic track reward thumbnails for certain tiers.
- Players are occasionally unable to hit the Collect button on the ‘Battle the Professor’ quest within the Battle Pass during the First Time User Experience.
Decks
- Players occasionally encounter purchasing errors when using Dust in the Deck Manager.
Profile
- Occasionally, when reaching different Prestige tiers, the Ranked Ladder emblem will disappear next to the Player's name in the Profile page.
Shop
- Players that redeem the Shrouded Fable Loyal Three ETB will not be able to see the Card Sleeve and Deck Box populate their inventory until a later date.
- The Redemption Camera is non-functional on certain MacOS devices.
Settings
- The client incorrectly overrides personal music applications when the client is in use on iOS and Android devices.
