The Pokemon World Championship almost never takes place in the same location that inspired the current or upcoming games.

As of now:

• No Worlds took place in New York City, France, nor Spain
• Only Worlds 2023 took place in Japan
• The previous two Worlds that were in Hawaii were before Gen 6 released, let alone Gen 7

Only Worlds 2022, which took place in London and used the Pokemon Sword and Shield format, actually follows this trend, with the games set in the UK-inspired Galar region.

Yep! The franchise that makes the most money on earth is just going to suddenly stop after 10 generations. No one likes making too much money!

It's a possibility, especially for newer minds to be presented more time for something beyond gen 11.
