    meloetta first of all ash saved its life at pokestar studios second of all it followed ash everywhere cheered for him during his gym battles and ash literally saved it this was of course during the black and white era

    Hoopa. Ash and hoopa developed a deep bond during Pokemon the Movie: Hoopa and the clash of ages. Plus, it would be awesome for Ash to use hoopa to annilate Leon.

    Litleo. Ash would have another Fire type cat pokemon on his team with quite a personality matching his.

    Sobble. Ash needs to keep up with the tradition of catching at least one of the starters each region.
