Other player doesn't connect but "I" get a loss

So I am playing on Android. The last 2 times when I played and the other person doesn't connect (says waiting on other player) to then decide the coin flip I get a message saying I conseeded and get hit with a loss... this is in ranked so I loose rank points because of the other person....

What can I do to stop this?

    So official comment, even though I said I am on android so my phone and I'm waiting on the other person and can have matches that play normally it seems they think I'm the one who cant connect....

    We understand that you are experiencing lag or another resource or connectivity issue that is affecting your Pokémon TCG Live gameplay. We have some suggestions that have helped other players who were experiencing similar issues.

    Before launching Pokémon TCG Live, first close any other streaming platforms that may be open on your device (Discord, Twitch, Spotify, etc.).

    Ensure that you are not playing the game during any prescheduled virus scans on your device. We suggest pausing such scans during gameplay.

    For optimal performance, refrain from accessing the game through a VPN.

    Attempting to access the game from outside of a supported region may impact the game’s performance.

    The issue you are describing is highly indicative of desynchronisation. We are aware of this issue, which is under investigation. While we hope to resolve this as soon as possible, we are unable to provide regular updates here. For information on updates please check our website and social media channels.

    The previous steps have helped other players who were experiencing similar issues. Please note that if these suggestions do not resolve the issue, we are still investigating the root cause and are unable to provide further troubleshooting beyond what has been provided.

    I found this part particularly funny:

    The Update page of TCG Live website most recent entry was "Letter to the Community | 07-08-2023" lol almost a year ago. I'm not even going to comment about information on updates in their social media channels! Come on be honest Pokémon Live team...

    I sent it in as a support ticket ahd got the same boiler plate response. I'm on mobile... not pc so no it's not affected by streaming and I'm lagging? When before last week when this happened I get the win as the other didn't connect. I can play normally this just pops up now and then.

    Oh they asked what mobile I used (s23 ultra) then response was below....
