Add a Hello / GG / Fist bump emotion.
The whole avatar thing in this game is horrible. They look cheep and nasty. Honestly it would of been better to make them look more like something from the actual games.
Besides this the emotes are just as bad as the avatars using them. I can't tell is someone is being toxic or just genuinely doing a good game when I see the current emotions.
I feel an actual gg or well played emote is needed when you genuinely have a good game with someone, along with a Hello or Greeting emote.
Really don't rate the stupid looking happy emote.

Yeah, none of the emotes express actual emotion, and sometimes I'd like to genuinely tell my opponent that they played well, but all I have is the awful thumbs-up emote and the looking-happy thing that just looks like I am being toxic. Please fix the emotes or add better ones.

Waiting for them to change/remove/improve the avatars since the beta release... so more them two years now?
With dozens of similar posts and not even the mute button was implemented. I lost the hope for that to change long ago.
