Pokemon Forums Story Chapter 3
"What is taking him so long?" Hildr the flying type Gym Leader asked Jett the Gym Trainer.
"Sometimes they take a little while." Jett said rubbing his eyes. It was the early morning and the sun was still rising. A sight you could see from inside the Gym because there was a stadium like opening at the top of it.
Hildr was used to the early morning. Getting up before the roosters crow. Hildr said, "If it was me I would be off to the second Gym with six spearow." And with those words spoken the doors opened and the challenger Arlo appeared, wide-eyed and with two pokeballs on his belt.
Jett stepped forward and threw his pokeball. "Go Pidgey!" "Go Snivy, you know what to do!" Arlo countered assuredly.
Pidgey immediately released a sand-attack. Jett shocked Snivy and Arlo with this preparation. Is this what all trainers are going to be like?
"Quick Atttack, Pidgey!" said Jett.
"Snivy we're not out of it yet. Wait for Pidgey to get close and use Wrap!" Arlo commanded.
Jett's Pidgey was already close enough and hit Snivy hard. But Snivy being tough got it's move off. It was all about staying close to this Pidgey now. Jett's instincts weren't the best telling Pidgey to Gust from such a close range. "Use Tackle Snivy." The Wrap and Tackle combo was too much and Pidgey was out of energy.
"Come back Pidgey." And Jett recalled his Pokemon into its pokeball.
Hildr watching the battle really wanted to test this new trainer and sent out her first Pokemon not giving the challenger much time to get ready. "Go Rookidee!" As she was walking forward, she released her Pokemon even farther ahead. Almost right on top of Arlo. Arlo was spraying his Snivy with a Potion unready for such an offense. Arlo stepped and turned in front of Snivy, taking the hit of a Rookidee Peck.
Arlo was slow to get up. He pushed up off the ground with his left hand and with his right held his side(where he was hit). Snivy had instinctively used Wrap, grabbing the Rookidee. Arlo knowing this was bad commanded Snivy again, "Use Vine whip, get it off you!"
"Power up your Peck with a Powe…" poink a Cramorant popped out of Hildr's pokeball belt. Hildr was known as the 'Early Bird' but noone was as early as Cramorant. This stage was over, after the last Peck Snivy needed a Pokemon Center. Cramorant looked on as Arlo recalled Snivy, and sent out his last Pokemon.
"Your turn to shine! Go Pawmi!" Arlo caught a shiny Pawmi! He spent all night(and the early morning) to find it. Pawmi matched Arlo's energy, but only when Arlo wasn't injured this badly. Pawmi understood the urgency. Pawmi released a Thundershock and fainted the tired Rookidee. "One versus one. It's all down to this."
Cramorant waddled forward. Hildr caught this bird when she was a young trainer. And it's never liked staying in it's pokeball for long. It didn't need much preparing to be the star of the first stop on the Gym Challenge.
"Okay Crammy use Stockpile." Hildr was confident in Cramorant's strength because it overpowered many beginning trainer's pokemon in the past but with a stockpile it would be even bulkier.
Getting ready for a stand off Arlo had Pawmi use Charge. "Follow Charge up with a Thundershock!"
"Water Gun, Cramorant and then Stockpile again." Hildr was thinking her Cramorant was infallible.
Thunder
shocks were seen from outside the Gym but Hildr from up close underestimated Arlo and his Pawmi. "Cramorant use Watergun and Stockpile again!" Cramorant was getting outclassed. Arlo had cornered the Gym Leader purely with his last Pokemon's typing, as it kept hitting Cramorant with Thundershocks.
Cramorant didn't take these attacks well and Hildr wanted to get Crammy out of the brunt of these godly Thundershocks. "Come back Cramorant. We're no match." And Hildr re-pokeballed the tired Cramorant. "Crammy is tough but we know when we're to retreat. Congratulations Arlo. You've earned your first award. The Aegis badge is yours. With it you can train Pokemon up to level 25 and move on to your next challenge. Happy Adventuring."

@Josiah2580 Sometimes it takes a good amount to write a good story. I personally enjoy reading a lot, so I liked the length. To each their own though.
