i don't think that treecko will be a starter since its final evolution got a mega
i feel the best options are snivy or chikorita snivy cause it fits the theme to well of kalos and also chikorita because of a theory that the mural in new pokemon snap and the catastrophic event talked about was hinting toward legends z-a and the supposed bosses saying meganium would be one of them since it was in new pokemon snap makes this a theory that has not been disproven yet

As cool as it would be, the Hoenn starters already got ORAS and megas in a gen with Kalos, and Piplup is too French, even for the France-based region. I'm guessing Scorbunny, Snivy, and Popplio will be the starters.
