will this year 2024 be the first time since 2002 that we do not get a whole new pokemon game

(i do not count mobile games so i feel pocket does not count) please can pokemon reveal a game for this year for the switch rather black and white remakes or small spinoff title like pinball with all pokemon up to gen 9 just give us something NON mobile

    no, game lineup has to be slow this year, or else it won't be obvious the next console is coming

    Honestly, I can go a year without a game, if it means they have more time to work on a new one. Plus I wouldn't mind a break personally.

    im not just talking mainline hear I'm talking spinoff too which a lot (except legends) are worked on by other companies rather than game freak so It would not interfere with a mainline game quality if a spinoff released

    I think after what happened with BDSP that Game Freak might be more cautious handing Pokemon over to other companies.

    There was nothing during 2015 (ORAS was 2014 and SM were 2016). So since 2015 probably.

    They counted spinoffs in the post, which 2024 has none of so far. 2015 had Shuffle, Pokken, Rumble World, Super Mystery Dungeon, and Picross.
