Is there any advantage to conceding a goal at the last second?

Recently, I've run into several opponents who play the entire battle and then give up between the time I knock out their Pokémon and get my last prize card. Is there a statistic or something that makes conceding a goal better than an outright defeat? Or are they just being a party pooper?

If you take the last card, you have won the game. What difference does it make to you if you actually take it or they concede?

Do you think they should concede earlier? Or not at all?

Some players might do it to save time, especially if they feel the outcome is inevitable. Others might concede to avoid revealing more of their strategy or because they're emotionally invested and prefer to exit before the final blow. It's not necessarily about a statistical advantage but rather personal preferences and circumstances. However, communication and sportsmanship are essential in such situations to ensure both players have an enjoyable experience.
