Iron Hands Ex vs Spidops Ex

My question is:

If a Iron Hands ex is equiped with a future booster energy Capsule (that "removes" the retreat cost from him), and my opponent has a Spidops ex (his abillity increases one retreat cost).

Spidops attack is: 90 + 30 for each retreat cost in the active pokemon.

The Spidops can damage the Iron Hands or not?

The Future Booster Capsule completely deletes the retreat cost of the iron Hands, even the cost that Spiders is adding. Therefore, Spidop's attack will only do 90 damage, unless another damage modifier such as maximum belt is applied.

Yeah like @OlderAngel11 said Spidops ex is like a +1 to the retreat cost and then Future Booster Energy Capsule is effectively a x0 to the retreat cost. I always find thinking of things like this on mathematical terms helps me, but maybe that’s just me 😂

I've never actually been in that kind of situation, but I believe it all depends on which is applied first. sorry wish I had a clear answer :(
