Today is darkrai I feel like the movie made me adore darkrai and has made it a Pokémon I really like so sad that I missed the event in shining pearl I even had a primeape that could resist falling asleep so I could easily catch darkrai this is why i now check Pokémon’s website daily

    I liked the movie, but the ending was disappointing. They shouldn't have chickened out or at least they should have left Darkrai's fate ambiguous.

    I'll be honest, I never understood Darkrai. There is clearly a story in it but I never watched the movie, so I was confused.

    @Tacolaser Do you mean in the movie or the Pokémon as a whole?

    Being a mythical Pokémon it didn't get much in the actual game, but it is alluded to in Canalave City, alongside Cresselia.

    It is basically a Pokémon of nightmares, where Cresselia is the Pokémon of sweet dreams.

    In most appearances, including the movie, it has a sinister, antagonistic presence.

    But actually it is more benevolent in the movie. Indeed all Darkrai may only use nightmares as a defensive measure and the harm brought to others may be an unfortunate side effect.

    It's interesting how sometimes it's pure evil and sometimes it's a hero that can't have anyone close to them or that person will never wake up.

    Also it looks cool.
