@TheJeffers I have played Bloodlines! It’s what got me interested in the tabletop, actually. That haunted mansion really freaked me out. My only complaint right now is the lack of a map or quest marker. Either way, I still don’t know much about how it plays in the tabletop, I still need to read into the rule book.

I mean I have been considering trying VTM but I don’t know anyone who plays it nor do I think it’s fitting for A PMD homebrew.

Well, the thing is, DND is the only tabetop RPG I am familiar with. I have no experience with the other ones you mentioned.

I was the opposite, I chose the character I wanted to play as and made my partner the Pokémon I got for the quiz.

My guess could be due to the weird logic behind Ash’s inability to age. Could also be because he’s just been overdone and having a new and interesting character would be better.
