another spoiler: the rival’s name is Carolin and her partner Pokémon is the elemental monkey with a type advantage over your starter. her final team is Honchkrow, Mega Scizor, Swoobat, Copperajah, and (depending on your starter choice) Simisear and Feraligatr, Simipour and Decidueye, or Simisage and Cinderace.

Appearance: Quite pale. Black (or dark blue) hair in a bob. Wears square glasses and a long white lab coat. Wears their Key Stone as a hairpin.
Personality: Celyn is ambitious, though often loses focus. A Pokémon professor, they are very passionate about Pokémon and understanding their biology.

[S “discarded” his name when he began his journey to find Volcanion, since it was “unnecessary baggage”]
|| Appearance: Shoulder-length rusty brown hair with bangs covering one eye. He wears formal clothing (long-sleeved button-up shirt, tailcoat, slacks) in various shades of brown, mostly matching the colours of his Pokémon. He is slightly tanned from all the time he spends outside.
|| Personality: S is described as mysterious by acquaintances, and focused by his friends. Once he sets his eyes on something, he will do anything in his power to get to it. Despite this, he cares a lot about his Pokémon, as they are his only permanent companions.

You are completely valid for this. I wish I could say more. I genuinely hope some day society will improve and you can do these things. You shouldn't have to hide who you are because the world will judge you and push you down. You are male. Nothing can change that. I just hope that fact will be respected in your future. I genuinely hope you can live a fun normal life (you are normal I mean without the fear of others attacking you if that makes sense). And you are an incredible artist. AI can't even touch you. So don't be afraid some bot will outshine you. Seriously, just keep being you and you will have an amazing life. You deserve one. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise

pmd character idea: fortune teller Rabsca. the player can speak to him every in-game day to have him “read their fortune” to provide a temporary boost for that day, similar to the v-waves in gates to infinity. there will be a small chance that the fortune will be negative and reduce exp gained or increase damage taken. Rabsca is coworkers with the npc that opens boxes.

15% chance for a negative effect (exp gained being lowered, defense stats being lowered, a chance for a move’s pp to decrease by 2 instead of 1). 20% chance for a positive effect (more exp gained, chance for a move to not consume pp, one stat being raised). 25% chance for no effect (Rabsca will just say something weird like “i see many Buneary” or whatever). 5% chance for a hyper-positive effect (exp gained greatly increased, multiple stats boosted, heightened chance of recruiting Pokémon). 5% for a hyper-negative effect (just ruins your day). 30% for “fortune”, which just increases money found in dungeons.

when i join new (small-ish) online communities, i always get scared that i’ll be treated like an outcast and that everyone would bully me behind my back. this, however, has never happened, and today was even more proof of that.
ive joined an online unofficial fangame and i was just about immediately invited to someone’s group and everyone there treated me like one of their own.
the internet can be a scary place, but if you wade through the danger, you’ll find a palace of gold.
