I assume it's some sort of notification, but it isn't clear to me what it means either. The menu opens up into several options with no indication as to which of those caused it.

Marnie shuffles your hand into your deck, right? That would shuffle away whatever card you put there. This doesn't sound like a bug.

The same thing happens to me occasionally, not every game, but it is very annoying to be forced into a bad lead and I have definitely lost games over it
