I’m assuming you’re meaning Greninja’s Ability “Water Shuriken” Dugtrio’s ability prevents damage from attacks and effects of attacks, sleep, poison, unable to retreat etc etc. It does not specify “negate all damage” As “Water Shuriken” is an ability, it is not technically an attack or an effect or an attack so I would say…

Giovanni only does +10 damage to the opponents ACTIVE Pokémon, says so on the card. Type advantage +20 damage does not apply to benched Pokémon.

I prefer to use my fighting deck, but as it has a tendency to rely on RNG I tend to only use it for Solo missions! In saying so though, matching against fighting types in online battles are my pet peeve. The “Pokéball” only targets “basic” Pokémon like Dratini, Pikachu, Meowth, Articuno etc etc. Any Pokémon without a pre-evolution card. So Pokémon such as Dragonite and Aerodactyl being evolutions won’t be targeted by the effects of “Pokéball”

90 damage for 2 energy at 120hp is more than plenty for a basic pokemon. 120 damage would break the card and create a pure pikachu meta
