😃... That's actually really neat @UnovanZorua ! Hmmmmm sooooo what do the different amounts mean? Hmmmmm......

I don't know. I tried to research it but couldn't find a reason. What I could find, though, is that the backwards-facing knees of a bird are actually heels and their knees are hidden in feathers. Also, another fun fact I heard, most bones in a bird are rigid and can't move due to being fused together (and they have hollow spaces for air on the inside that are connected to the respiratory system and help them breathe) because it aids with flight. Interestingly, their neck bones are more mobile than a human's, which I think was because they can't move their eyes much.
-
Dragonfly102024
Super cool! Hmm I think I heard about the hollow bone thing, (for flight is all I knew) and I've watched my chickens turn their necks at humanly impossible angles while preening/cleaning/sleeping etc.... I like birds too 🙂
-
UnovanZorua
I was waiting for something and decided to read about birds while doing so because they're cool.

Useless piece of historic knowledge:
The Federalist Papers were meant to be 20-25 documents supporting the US Constitution, the work divinded evenly between John Jay, James Maddison, and Alexander Hamilton
However, in a span of 6 months they wrote a total of 85 papers!
John Jay got sick (rheumatoid arthritis) after writing 5
Maddison wrote 29
Hamilton wrote… THE OTHER 51!!!
This could win you Jeopardy some day
You're welcome

I don't plan on playing jeopardy any time soon, but I'll keep this Screenshoted (you know just in case)

Nice! Hmmmm now where will I store this info.... My brain feels kinda crowded right now, lol. But it's always good to learn something new 😁

How satisfying do you think it is to scroll past the wall of nothing below us?
0July 18-
Pokémon342548
You can clean up your activity page by deleting unnecessary comments from there. Try it with a blank comment!
-
Ember2026
@Dragonfly102024 agreed. It's unnecessarily long, I mean, I guess It could be better if people took turns putting thoses... But, idk what I am even saying lol
-
Dragonfly102024
I guess the good thing is maybe, just maybe, people will see that via the "activities" and get frustrated enough that they won't scroll down to my wall posts 😁 or they have to work for it 😉. So thank you! It's a buffer of sorts.

Something you never needed to know:
The French made the mayonnaise!
According to Jack Sparrow, anyways

I opened the page about Mayonnaise on Wikipedia and it looks like no one knows for sure and the theories are split between Spain and France.

I had no time to write last night so I apologize. My sister ended up wanting me to play with her all night, which is very unusual but I'm not gonna turn her down. Family time is my top priority. I'll try getting writing done tonight but it'll have to be done on my phone

I'm very happy today! I got pizza, Crush (orange soda (WAY BETTER THAN FANTA!!!)), an Oreo ice cream sandwich, and Pokémon cards! And my mama bought it all for me! I've said it twice and I'm saying it again! She da man! Anyways, enough about my day. What have you been up to?
-
PokeMom244
That sounds great!
Nothing much.
I'm having pizza for dinner! So, excited for that.
As I write this my dog stares at me. Idk why I said that I just had to.
I've gotten some stuff done today. Other then just sitting down gaming and reading lol. -
Hades0918
THE DOG IS WATCHING!!! PIZZAAAAAAAAAA!!! Gaming and reading are the only two important things in this world!

Enjoying the Yellow Journal log? Got some training to do since an upcoming trainer has an annoying Butterfree(he spawns Chansey via Glitch too so he's quite valuable). I just got to review the other trainers since I think Rhyhorn, Growlithe, Magmar and other Pokemon are coming up.
0July 16-
Hades0918
Yeah, I'm liking it! You keep saying "via glitch" but I'm not sure I understand. For example, Electabuzz you said can only be spawned by glitch but I'm pretty sure it's at the Power Plant with Zapdos. And now you're talking about a Chansey glitch Butterfree trainer? I'm just confused about that but other than that I'm enjoying!
-
Lonestar85
@Hades0918 Look at the YT video I posted that explains the glitch in depth. Basically, the glitch permits me to face ANY Pokemon in the game so long as I can call it's Hexadecimal value in memory. The list is as follows: Hexadecimal list The glitch uses the Special stat of the last Pokemon you faced. So that Butterfree Trainer you referenced, the Butterfree has a Special stat of 40. That matches Chansey in the Hexadecimal list and this is for all three versions(Red/Blue/Yellow). Electabuzz does not appear in Yellow version(only appears on Blue). Ditto Magmar who only appears on Red version but the Engineer I face in Entry#8 that I just posted would work for Red and Blue version, hence you can get Magmar super early.
-
Hades0918
Oh, wow! What would you use the glitch for? I'm pretty sure you've contemplated using it but I don't think you have
-
Lonestar85
I use the glitch to start wild encounters with Pokemon I cannot get. For Yellow version specifically, it'd be the following: Weedle/Kakuna/Beedrill(only Caterpie or Butterfree in Yellow), Raichu(Pikachu won't evolve), Team Rocket Pokemon(Ekans, Meowth, Koffing) and trio of Electabuzz, Magmar and Jynx. Id then add Fighting Dojo(Hitmonchan specifically since you can only pick one), Omanyte(I take Dome Fossil for a reason), Flareon + Eevee(you only get one Eevee), Lickitung + Mewtwo(Cerulean Cave, aka Post-Game) and Trade Evo's(Golem, Gengar and Alakazam). I also do Porygon because 9999 Game corner coins is nuts and I try to do Safari Zone Pokemon because the catch mechanic there is a royal pain. I still have to do Kangaskahn(because I can't get a Special stat of 2... At least I don't know if a Pokemon can get that low), Exeggcute(he's easy) and Tauros because no Trainer has a Pokemon with a Special stat of 60(I could Ditto catch it though). Every other Safari Zone catch(besides Fishing encounters) can be obtained via glitch.
-
Lonestar85
Also, this glitch can be used to duplicate items by basically multiplying the item that occupies the 6thbslot in your way item list. That means you can get tons of Vitamins(HP/Attack/Defense/Speed/Special), TM's(so you can get more use out of strong ones like Body Slam, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam and Psychic) and Rare Candies(making leveling way faster). Can even get tons of Master Balls if you wanted to.
-
Lonestar85
Next part is up and I added some interesting info regarding Erika that I forgot to do. Kicking myself as this will consume time. Next session will have a glitch catch that might interest you.

I really like this week's word!
Fudgel: To look incredibly busy working while in reality you're doing practically nothing
If you're able to be fudgel, I'm impressed
I consider anyone who can do that to have it as a skill!
And if you worked hard to be fudgel even more respect for ya!
Anyways, I hope you learned something new and see you next week!
0July 17-
PokeMom244
Never heard of this...
Huh. (Funny word to say to)
I learned something yet again!
Thank you Hades!
-
Dragonfly102024
LOL! I've had previous coworkers who fudgel like pros... they drove me nuts because I knew what they were doing but the boss never noticed or just looked the other way. The problem was, then I would have to pick up their slack and since I was salaried and not hourly like they were, I had to stay later than a normal workday to get the work done. Yeah, they were milking the system. 😐

The word of this week doesn't exist...
Yet
Someday I'll get it into the official dictionary!
If you read the Theories thread then you already know it, but I'm using it anyways!
Sgrolpian
It means boring and repetitive tasks, like doom scrolling through the internet
All credits to @UnovanZorua for creating this word
It is now one of my favorites!
Sorry if anyone is disappointed it isn't a real word, but I want to make it one!
Let's do the process to get this into the real dictionary!
0May 13-
Dragonfly102024
Yes, awesome "word" hehehe.. we all should definitely use it so some day when it IS in the dictionary we can say that we were here at the beginning!!! 😃
-
UnovanZorua
Thank you! I'm grateful and proud everyone likes it! I sat here for likely over a minute thinking of a better way to convey how grateful I am, but I'm not the best at using words, so I'll just hope this shows it enough.
-
Dragonfly102024
Hih. I didn't realize that. That means they switched their emoji from disagree to a flag, or one person took away their disagree and another flagged. I'm guessing it's the first thing.
-
Evolve8eon
something I noticed in the last there was one disagree and it’s gone now and instead a flag
-
Voltareon2012
Guys if you google 'Sgrolpian define' right now… it shows up… and sort of credits it to Hades!
-
Dragonfly102024
We were here when it all first started!!! 😃😃😃. AWESOME @UnovanZorua , just AWESOME!!!

fineasmatei
"Sgrolpian" is an internet slang term used to describe boring, tedious, and repetitive tasks—especially the mind-numbing act of doom-scrolling through the internet or social media feeds. This term originated as a popular piece of online colloquialism within internet and gaming forums. Here is how it is commonly used:
- Context: It describes the feeling of wasting time on repetitive, unfulfilling internet loops.
- Usage Example: "I had so much to get done today, but I spent four hours sgrolpian on my phone instead."
Because it is a modern neologism, it is not found in standard, recognized dictionaries.
@Voltareon2012 yes it does work
-
UnovanZorua
Why is it being used as a verb? It's an adjective (so, it's put before a noun or verb to desribe it). I think it was pretty obvious, but I guess nothing but inaccuracy can be expected from AI.
-
UnovanZorua
"The tutorial of the game was sgrolpian, like it was reaching to get a world record for duration and tediousness." "The sgrolpian hours passed as I sat, desperate to do anything to just pass the time." "Unable to sleep and holding a phone in my hand, the sgrolpian night passed swiftly and yet I felt no better than when I started. I may actually be feeling worse."
-
Hades0918
NO!!! I wasn't trying to start a blank streak here! I just needed the word definition and didn't want to constantly go through all my page!
