Why did Warner Bros. Pictures refuse to distribute the fourth to final Pokémon anime movies?

I knew that Warner Bros. Pictures distribute the first three Pokémon anime movies starting Mewtwo Strikes Back, but then refused to distribute the rest of the entire Pokémon anime movies prior to the fact that they were available to Pokémon Detective Pikachu? Now I wonder you think that Warner Bros. Pictures refused to distribute the entire Pokémon anime movie series, other the the first three installments? Please let me know, thanks.😉

Miramax signed a deal with 4Kids to release the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh movies. Miramax continued to have distribution rights of those movies, until late 2023 when the rights reverted back to TPCi, hence why they were not available on Pokémon TV. Starting with the eighth movie, Pokémon: Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, The Pokémon Company International started releasing the movies.

Warner Home Video still distribute the DVD anime and movies.
