if you were a gym leader…
what type would you specialise in? what pokemon would you use? and what would your gym challenge be?
(i know theres already a thread like this in welcome & introductions but this thread is made by me so it’s cooler :))

Fire type
7th or 8th Gym
Double Battle
I'd start with Ceruledge and Armarouge
Ceruledge
Level 55 or 67 (depends on if I'm 7th or 8th)
Bitter Blade, Solar Blade, Shadow Claw, Iron Head
Muscle Band
Flash Fire
Armarouge
Level 55 or 67 (7th or 8th)
Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Lava Plume, Armor Cannon
Heat Rock
Weak Armor
Armarouge uses Sunny Day first turn and Lava Plume all other turns (unless Ceruledge (and Ninetales) faints, in which case he spams Armor Cannon)
Ceruledge uses Bitter Blade to take advantage of the Fire buffs from Harsh Sunlight and Lava Plume
It can change if needed for type match ups (mostly Ceruledge since she has the more diverse move set)
My other Pokémon would be:
Infernape
Level 57 or 68
Raging Fury, Close Combat, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch
Life Orb
Iron Fist
This guy is literally just brute force
In Harsh Sunlight and Iron Fist, Fire Punch should be doing pretty big damage
If not Raging Fury will be a beast
Ninetales
Level 56 or 67
Heat Wave, Scorching Sands, Shadow Ball, Psychic
Shell Bell
Flash Fire
If Armarouge is alive when Ceruledge faints, then Ninetales will take the place
You would not believe the amount of health Heat Wave can restore when hitting both targets
Plus Sunlight and Flash Fire increase the damage
Cinderace
Level 58 or 69
Pyro Ball, High Jump Kick, Smack Down, Sucker Punch
Wide Lens
Libro
Just a powerful attacker
Charizard
Level 60 or 70
Flare Blitz, Dragon Rush, Rock Slide, Crunch
Charizard Mega Stone X
Tough Claws (due to Mega Evolution but Blaze for normal (which it never is))
My ace and final Pokémon
Truly my strongest and pure powerhouse
The Gym itself is full of AC units and extremely cold
You could literally see your breath when you breath
However, when my Fire type gets out (and Sunny Day is used) the AC is practically unnoticeable and sweating is uncontrollable
The battlefield has tube surrounding it that shoot out flames every time there is a KO as well as when I use Mega Evolution
I'm average height and basic build
Black ripped jeans, black leather jacket, black fingerless gloves, black T-shirt, black sneakers, and black cool guy sunglasses
Long brown hair that's always in a ponytail, silver hoop earrings, silver eyebrow dumbell, and a silver necklace with my Key Stone
I am constant energetic and makes a lot of puns, mostly fire and heat puns
Often yells with excitement, even over the smallest things
That's my Gym!

lol. That was a typo but I’m keeping it.
I know I haven’t commented so I could just swap the last letter…But I don’t want to.
I choose the darl type!

alright, it got through! time to share my nerd stuff..
to everyone’s surprise, i would specialise in bug-types
my team:
Kleavor [Sharpness, holding Assault Vest]: knows Stone Axe, Night Slash, Lunge, and Rock Blast.
Orbeetle [Frisk]: knows Bug Buzz, Psychic, Calm Mind, and Baton Pass.
Vivillon [Compound Eyes, holding Heavy-Duty Boots]: knows Sleep Powder, Quiver Dance, Hurricane, and Bug Buzz.
my ace: Galvantula [Compound eyes]: knows Thunder, Bug Buzz, Volt Switch, and Giga Drain.
upon rematch, id lead with a Forretress [Sturdy, holding Leftovers]: knows Light Screen, Reflect, Stealth Rock, and Body Press.
ideally, id set up my gym near chargestone cave. Orbeetle fits the area’s mysterious (for lack of a better term) aura, Galvantula lives there, Kleavor is a rock type so it’d fit the cave… you get the idea, and i can’t really link Vivillon to anything.
in this ideal world, my gym would have challengers navigate a dark area, using chargestone cave’s fancy glowy rocks to find a path and avoid trainers.

I would be an Ice Type Gym Leader. Team would be Alolan Ninetales, Alolan Sandslash, Mamoswine, Froslass, Baxcalibur and Abomasnow. My team would be 4 of those 6 and would be random on every encounter to mix things up.
My Gym would be located in a rural area where challengers have to acquire 3 Trial Flags from Trial Trainers. To get to the Trainers requires using your Pokémon(Surf, Rock Climb, Cut, etc.) or the HM moves we've been liberated from having to build teams around. Once you get the flags, you can then challenge me.

id probably be a dragon type specialist (cuz i liek my dragonz) or a water type specialist. Yk, i see the possibilities in water types, specifically Pelipper. While most of the people see him as support, i think with weather ball & hurricane its an absolute beast. I will let it use ice beam too, to counter dragon types and specifically garchomp. I chose beam and not fist to avoid rough skin contact.
My challenge? Prob diving up clamperl or sumthing idk lolIn my team, i would also use swampert mega i guess. W double battles he can spam earthquake, while pelipper enjoys his flying type. Smack wide guard on pelipper and ur done.
I would also choose Lapras (prof pic checks out), milotic (she is beauty, she is grace, she is miss hypnosis-muddy water-scald-ice beam). If i got a 5 and 6 spot ill give golisopod and palafin a chance.

I would specialize in either electric or fairy types! If electric probably Raichu, Rotom, and… I dunno I'm blanking now.
For a fairy-type team I would use a team of cute or small fairies that have intense power. Gardevoir, Sylveon, Mimikyu, and a Goodra that terastallizes.0
