    What they're going to be(likely): Fire/Fairy, Grass/Ground and Water/Psychic

    What they should be: Fire/Normal, Water/Poison, Grass/Flying

    Fire/Fairy has never been done but I'm on record that it should go to Ninetales and will riot worse than France if it comes to pass. Grass/Ground has been done and honestly it's ok. I won't like it because it's weak to Ice but it fits the theme of what they're basing it on. Finally Water/Psychic hasn't been done yet for a starter, making it truly unique.

    As for what they should be, Fire/Normal hasn't been done from a starter perspective and was last done in Gen 6 with Litleo/Pyroar. Grass/Flying was last done in Gen 7 with Rowlet but they never kept it all the way through and the last Grass type to have it prior was Tropius. Tropius is a maligned Pokemon so perhaps if they keep it all the way through that it may give that typing a much needed rehabilitation. Finally, Water/Poison has never been done for a starter and has several prominent Pokemon in Tentacool, Qwilfish, Skrelp and Mareanie giving it prior representation. Gequa just screams poison frog but then again Croagunk did too(just as Poison/Fighting).
