Keeping it short (ok maybe not) and sweet, my 10 year old is super into collecting Pokemon cards, she watches all the YouTube videos, knows all the hits for all the sets etc. I took her to our local card shop yesterday to actually learn how to play the game - we both loved it and will be regulars.

So.…in all of this I have to confess that I too have got a bit obsessed.....POGO, cards and the game.... because finding literally any pack of Pokemon cards at the moment (for RRP) is like finding rocking horse poop (I will NEVER line scalpers pockets) I've literally been popping into my local supermarkets, toy shops etc. as and when I'm passing over the last few months in a hope to bag a pack or two for Christmas........ this is where it gets bad......ive managed to get quite a few packs..…this evening however got the better of me, ive never opened a pack before (always let her open them and do the card trick) but shes fast asleep and I had this massive urge to secretly open a cheeky pack.....haha you know where this is going.…I've only gone and pulled a chase card, nothing amazing, a Greninja EX but we literally have never had a pull from this set before and I know shes gonna be super pissed with me haha. What should I do? My thoughts are top loading it and pretend I got it from a shop (put it wrapped up under the tree) haha reckon that will work? I've literally just made an account here to offload this because I know you will all understand lol.…I'm just feeling super guilty because I know she would have gone wild to pull it on Christmas morning.......make me feel better please 🙏 😊 🤣

Are you saying that that you pulled a Greninja ex, and your daughter, an equally big fan, would love the card and she doesn't know you got this pack without her so you're considering planting the card into one of the packs you'll be opening for Christmas so she'll never know you got it without her?

No, my apologies, im rubbish at writing

I have been buying packs for the last month or so for my daughter for Christmas. She obviously doesn't know. I secretly opened one of these packs this evening because I had an urge and got the Greninja. I just feel guilty because they were meant for her christmas presents and i wanted to offload to people who understand the "urge" to open a pack lol

Basically I've opened a pack of cards that I bought as a christmas present for my daughter because the temptation was too much.

We've never had a proper pull from this particular set before and I've got a half decent one.

I feel guilty because I know she would have loved to pull it on christmas morning. I need to find a way of giving her the card without her knowing I couldn't resist and opened a pack without her.

I'm thinking of putting the card in a toploader and wrapping it up as a stocking filler pretending I bought it from a shop.

Lighthearted post in the hope someone else may have done something similar to make me feel less guilty 😁
