Legends Starter Trio Stage 2 Idea

Legends Arceus gave the Stage 2s a Regional Variant, right?
And Legends Z-A did Megas
What if the next one gives a new evolution for the Stage 1?
Like, just as example, Combusken doesn't evolve into Blaziken but a completely new Pokemon just for the region?
Just an idea

I don't follow TCG. I follow games that have been stage 1(starter), stage 2(middle stage) and stage 3(final form) since as long as I can remember.

There isn't any specific terminology in the games for evolution stages.
However, there are for cards, which I'm referring to because they're the next most popular format.
Don't quote me on this, but I believe Pokemon GO (to the polls) refers to unevolved pokemon as Basic as well.

Mid stage shouldn't be considered Basic then but Stage 1 Evolved if I'm understanding it right. Even so, my format makes more sense. At least it's not the Underpant gnomes(won't post it because of language but it's funny). Also for you Gen 3 patriots
