Todays the day. I find out if I can finally rank up. And im pumped. I feel like caffeine is my friend and im confusing cortisol with adrenaline!

If I beat this round, I'll be able to challange someone in great ball tier. Which sounds crazy to say. If I keep this up, I can reach master tier and challange a champion! Wait... why am I even thinking like this? Im not narrating this for anyone. Am I okay?

Im sitting in the locker room. I review my battle plan. Everything seems according to plan. Then, a voice.

"Have you seen a blue water bottle with a Galar Gym symbol on it?"

"No. I haven't. But why are you here opponento? You should be in your locker room pal." I say with a grin on my face

"Are you nervous?" The guy asks me. "I mean, you've been on a major win streak lately, but still. Has the thought of losing come across your mind much?"

"Well I can't lose. I've made a bet with my roommate. If I make enough money then he'll let me stay for college. If I don't I'll get kicked out then I can't find a dorm, and I'll have to dropout. And I don't want to live with... Alicia."

"Well youre little sob story isn't gonna do you any good. The competitive world eats little fish like you in one bite. No one even knows who you are."

"My name is Rafa Valentino. Im going to college to study battle arts and battle calculus to become a skillful trainer that one day hopes to challange the champion, win or lose. There. You happy?" There's a pause of silence.

"Well since youre too self involved, my name is Trevor Gladys. Im a self taught trainer that hopes to become champion. Now, a normal person who is willing to use a little kindness and would say "Nice to meet you" but youre clearly dealing with your own... Issues. Now ill let you have your little tantrum, but for our upcoming battle, I'd rather have an honorable defeat than a dishonorable win. Now ill leave you be and take my leave."
