Bandwagons. Basically people who aren't die-hard fans or people who've been around since the beginning. Just there because it's the cool thing to do. Aka phony, big fat phony.

I am not so sure. They introduced new bugs and problems into the game, while preserving the ones from the original code. And I really didn't like the art style.

The biggest tragedy of BDSP was that it was a missed opportunity. They could have built and expanded upon the games as they did with HGSS, which are some of the best in the series, or even ORAS, of which I have my criticisms, but generally updated the original while preserving much of what was loved about it.

BDSP could have used the SwSh style visuals of the time (one of the things I like about those games outside of the wild area). It could have incorporated more gameplay mechanics, story elements and Pokémon from later games that would have made sense for Sinnoh. It could at least have included Platinum's main story refinements and later Distortion World plot Delta Episode style.

Instead we got Diamond and Pearl, warts and all, without Platinum, a cheap looking chibi coat of paint slapped over it, and worst of all, my despised exp share jammed into the game. Without rebalancing the battles and encounters.

This removed any sense of challenge from the game, all so that the braindead type of fan Pokémon desperately wants to appeal to these days can mindlessly play the game with their attention divided between the Tiktoks on their phone and whatever rubbish TV or movie they are streaming. Lest they have to endure the dreaded "grinding" they experience after bulldozing through everything with their starter while using repels and skipping trainer battles to avoid any exp that might have prevented its necessity.

Can you tell I am upset about this?

I don't want the same thing to happen to Unova. Yes, we'll still have the originals. But even my favourite games have room to improve and potential to grow. I would love to see the games remade into the best versions of themselves they could be, not a lazy, inferior version with a 3D coat of paint.

I want Unova's HGSS, not BDSP.

We all want a better game in the end. My beef with BDSP was that they removed Return TM despite it being a faithful remake(Return made using Normal types viable... Now you're stuck with Body Slam, Extreme Speed or Strength), ruined Crobat from a Flying Type perspective(best move it gets is Pluck or Aerial Ace via TM or Fly if you're willing to stomach 2-turns for 90 power), Eevee was locked to the post-game with respect to the Egg(unlike in Platinum) and they locked a lot of Pokemon to Grand Underground(where Eevee could have resided, making the Moss and Ice Rock completely pointless). Also no Sylveon... Ugh. Could have added regional variants to the game too(like Hisuian if they really wanted to).

In the end it was a cash grab like FRLG.
